Microsoft stellt ab sofort ein kostenlos erhältliches Tool namens Office 2013 DocRecrypt Tool zum Download bereit. Das Office 2013 DocRecrypt Tool macht es Administratoren möglich den Schutz von passwortgeschützten Office Open XML-Dateien von Word, Excel und PowerPoint aufzuheben oder zu ändern. Das Tool kann ab sofort bei Microsoft heruntergeladen werden.
Das Tool muss über die Eingabeaufforderung durch Eingabe von Start -> Ausführen -> cmd -> „%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\DocRecrypt\DocRecrypt.exe“ -> OK gestartet werden.

Office 2013 DocRecrypt Tool -> Overview
The Office 2013 DocRecrypt Tool gives admins who have configured the Escrow key feature options to get access to password protected files. The admin uses the tool and the private key of the escrow certificate to decrypt the file. Once decrypted the admin can choose between creating an unprotected copy of the file and changing the password of the file.
Hinterlegter Schlüssel bei Office 2013 -> Übersicht
- Office 2013 bietet eine neue Funktion für hinterlegte Schlüssel. Dank dieser Funktion kann der IT-Administrator einer Organisation kennwortgeschützte Dokumente mittels eines privaten hinterlegten Schlüssels entschlüsseln.
- Wurde ein Dokument also beispielsweise mit Word, Excel oder PowerPoint verschlüsselt, und der ursprüngliche Besitzer des Dokuments hat entweder sein Kennwort vergessen oder ist inzwischen aus der Organisation ausgeschieden, kann der IT-Administrator mithilfe des privaten hinterlegten Schlüssels die Daten aus dem Dokument abrufen.
- Die Funktion für hinterlegte Schlüssel kann nur für gespeichert Dateien verwendet werden, die mit einer fortschrittlichen Verschlüsselung verschlüsselt wurden. Eine solche Verschlüsselung wird standardmäßig von Office 2010 und Office 2013 genutzt. Falls das Standardverhalten aus Kompatibilitätsgründen geändert wurde und stattdessen das Format der Vorversion verwendet wird, ist die Funktion für hinterlegte Schlüssel nicht verfügbar.
