Microsoft hat im Rahmen des heutigen Abends ein planmäßiges und nicht sicherheitsrelevantes Update für Office 2016 für Mac veröffentlicht. Mit diesem Update erhält Office 2016 für Mac zwei neue Funktionen: Die Recherche in Word unterstützt euch bei der Suche nach Themen und der Einbeziehung von verlässlichen Quellen und Inhalten für Ihre Forschungsarbeit in nur wenigen Schritten. Damit lässt sich das Material, das in Bezug zum Inhalt steht erkunden um es mit Zitaten in das Dokument einzufügen, ohne Word verlassen zu müssen. Das Feature ist nur für Office 365-Abonnementen verfügbar und es steht nur in den folgenden Sprachen bereit: Englisch, Französisch, Italienisch, Deutsch, Spanisch und Japanisch. Das ATP-Feature für sichere Links für Word, Excel und PowerPoint stellt eine Reihe Sicherheitsfunktionen bereit, die als Bestandteil von Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection angeboten werden. Außerdem bringt das Update auch eine neue Version von Microsoft AutoUpdate. Das Update auf die Versions-Nummer 15.37 kann ab sofort über die Software-Aktualisierung geladen werden.

Office 2016 for Mac is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. Updates are available from Microsoft AutoUpdate. To use Microsoft AutoUpdate, start an Office application, such as Word, and then choose Help > Check for Updates. If you’re an admin and want to update the computers in your organization with your existing software deployment tools, you can download and deploy the update packages for each application. This release provides the following updates.
Word
- Researcher: Find relevant quotes, citable sources, and images without leaving Word.
- Safe links: When a user clicks on a link, Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) inspects the link to see if it’s malicious. If the link is deemed malicious, the user is redirected to a warning page instead of the original target URL.
Excel
