- Poll meeting participants using Microsoft Forms: Polls for Teams meetings is an easily discoverable and seamless experience that will help you conduct more engaging and productive meetings. With Polls, which is powered by Microsoft Forms, meeting presenters can prepare, launch, and evaluate polls before, during, and after meetings, respectively, all from one place under a tab in the Teams meeting. As a meeting presenter, you can add the Forms app as a tab in the Teams meeting, then create, launch, and evaluate your polls from one place. Create polls to be launched during the meeting even before the meeting begins. Then, after the meeting, you can choose to evaluate responses in the tab, an exported Excel workbook, or on the web in the Forms app. Presenters have a variety of controls, like enabling anonymous responses, closing polls, and exporting results to Excel. Attendees from any endpoint (mobile, web, desktop) can view and answer polls as they appear on the meeting screen or in the meeting chat, as well as see non-anonymous poll results in real time.
- Meeting reactions: Meeting reactions are a new way to interact in meetings. Participants can send reactions and they’ll be shown as a stream on content that is shared, and on the individual who sent the reaction if they’re displayed on the meeting stage.
- History Menu for desktop client: The History Menu in Teams desktop client lets you easily get back to recently visited locations. Simply hover over the forward or backward navigation options in the desktop client and select the location. A keyboard shortcut is also available to open the menu.
- Cortana in Microsoft Teams Rooms for US: Cortana voice assistance in Microsoft Teams Rooms lets you have a touchless experience for calling a number from your conference room, joining or ending a meeting, or adding a number to a meeting.
- Masking phone numbers: We released a new admin setting for masking phone numbers for dial-in participants when they join a meeting. Admins can choose to mask phone numbers from everyone in the meeting (except the organizer), from external people only or have masking disabled. If the admins choose to have this setting disabled, the phone numbers will be displayed fully in the meeting. (private release until the end of October)
- Calendar sharing: We added the ability to add a channel to a calendar tab.
- Bringing more scenes to Together Mode: Teams have now introduced the ability for meeting organisers or presenters to change the Together Mode scene allowing attendees to appear in different experiences together.
