Adobe PDF iFilter 9 for 64-bit platforms


Adobe PDF iFilter is designed for end users or administrators who wish to index Adobe PDF documents using Microsoft indexing clients. This allows the user to easily search for text within Adobe PDF documents. In response to customer requests, Adobe is releasing Adobe PDF iFilter 9 for 64-bit platforms, which will allow searching PDF files on Windows 64-bit platforms for applications such as SharePoint Server 2007, Exchange Server 2007, and SQL Server 2005.

Adobe currently bundles a 32-bit PDF iFilter with Acrobat and Reader software. It uses the iFilter interface and allows third-party indexing tools to extract text from Adobe PDF files.
