Microsoft hat im Rahmen des Patchday für Dezember 2016 ein Sicherheitsupdate für Office 2016 für Mac veröffentlicht. Damit werden kritische Sicherheitslücken behoben und die Sicherheit der Software erhöht. Die schwerwiegendste davon kann Remotecodeausführung ermöglichen, wenn ein Benutzer eine speziell entworfene Datei öffnet. Neben der behobenen Sicherheitslücken, bringt das Update auch eine neue Version von Microsoft AutoUpdate. Darüber hinaus umfasst das heutige Update auch Verbesserungen für Word, Excel und PowerPoint, diese lassen sich weiter unten einsehen. Das Update auf die Versions-Nummer 15.29 kann ab sofort geladen werden.
