Microsoft hat im Laufe der Woche ein größeres Update für Office 2016 für Mac veröffentlicht. Mit der neuen Version bringt Microsoft die Unterstützung für Apples Touch Bar für Word, Excel und PowerPoint. Microsoft wird die Touch Bar auch für Outlook bringen. Sie soll zuletzt verwendete Dokumente einblenden, um diese direkt in eine neue E-Mail einfügen zu können. Außerdem umfasst das Update auch die üblichen Fehlerbehebungen und Verbesserungen. Neben den oben genannten Verbesserungen, bringt das Update auch eine neue Version von Microsoft AutoUpdate. Microsoft fordert die Nutzer auf, ein Upgrade durchzuführen, was erforderlich ist, bevor andere Updates installiert werden können. Das Update auf die Versions-Nummer 15.31 setzt ein Mac mit OS X Yosemite 10.10 und höher voraus und kann ab sofort sowohl über die Software-Aktualisierung als auch bei Microsoft geladen werden.
