Microsoft hat bereits im Juli ein RAW Codec Paket für Windows 7 und Vista veröffentlicht und im Microsoft Download Center zum Download bereitgestellt. Das Microsoft Kamera Codec Paket ermöglicht die Anzeige von Original-RAW-Dateien aus über 120 digitalen Kameras (eine Liste findet sich weiter unten) direkt im Windows Explorer und in der Windows Live Fotogalerie.
