Über die Verfügbarkeit der Version 4.0.14 von Paint.NET mit diversen Verbesserungen hatte ich bereits gestern geschrieben. Nun lässt sich über die Paint.NET Webseite ab sofort ein weiteres Update für die Bildbearbeitungssoftware herunterladen. Nun hat der Entwickler nachgelegt und ein weiteres Update auf die Version 4.0.15 mit Fehlerbehebungen veröffentlicht. Das Update erfordert Windows 7 mit SP1 oder neuer mit Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 oder neuer und kann sowohl über die interne Updatefunktion von Paint.NET, die über den Zahnrad > Updates > zu erreichen ist, als auch über die offizielle Website heruntergeladen werden. - Fixed: Improved the reliability of Image->Crop to Selection on 32-bit systems. Instead of crashing when it runs out of memory, it will just show an error.
- Fixed: Reduced crashes when loading UI images caused by an unreliable Windows component („System.ArgumentException: Parameter is not valid“)
- Fixed: When manually checking for updates in the Settings dialog and the user didn’t actually have the necessary security privileges, a crash might result instead of an error dialog.

Paint.NET für Windows -> Beschreibung
Paint.NET ist eine Bildbearbeitungssoftware, die an der Washington State University und bei Microsoft entwickelt wurde. Ursprünglich sollte Paint.NET lediglich eine erweiterte Version von Microsoft Paint sein. Durch ständige Erweiterung bietet das Programm mittlerweile Funktionen wie z. B. das Arbeiten mit Ebenen, welche aus Adobe Photoshop oder GIMP bekannt sind. Auch die Bedienung ähnelt der von Adobe Photoshop.
